Guram Mchedlidze

Guram Mchedlidze was born on 27 September of 1931.
Correspondent - Member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences;
Paleobiologist.
He has a candidates degree of Geological-Mineralogical Scienes (1962) and doctors degree of Biological Sciences (1973). The topic of his scientific researhes is the paleobiological history of cetaceans.
From the 1971 he gives lectures on Vertebrate Paleontology, Comparative anatomy and Geological history at the Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. 1979-1989-Depaty Director of the L.Davitashvili Institute of Paleobiogy of the Georgian Academy of Sciences. At present day-Director of this Institute. In 1971 Dr. Mchedlidze was elected as a member of American Society of Vertebrate Paleontology.
