     Library was founded in 1941. It is one of the biggest and popular libraries in Georgia. It's collections contain more than 3 million units. CSL has 8 reading halls and abont 28.000 readers. CSL is the main library in the Academic system. It has wide international relations. CSL keeps book exchange with about 1000 scientific institutions from 55 foreign countries - USA, England, Germany, France, Italy and others. CSL has two branches: the Grishashvili library museum and the library at the Tbilisi aviation factory.
