Main scientific trends:
a) Scientific direction of theoretical economy. It studies theoretical problems of economy, using traditional economic and economic-mathematical methods of research.
b) Scientific direction of market-economic relations. It studies such problems as: macroeconomics, microeconomics, financial-credit and bank systems; the problems reflecting foreign economic relations as well.
c) Geo-economic scientific direction. It studies such problems as: agrarian economy, regional economy,nature use and environment protection economy.
d) Scientific direction of economic history. It studies the problems of economic history of Georgia and history of georgian economic thought.
