- Professor of Batumi State University, Batumi Agricultural Institute and Batumi Medical and Ecological Institute.

- Director of the Batumi Botanical Gardens of the Georgian Academy of Sciences and the head of the departament of introduction of plants and local flora of the same Institute.

- Honoured forester

- Member of the programme "Problems of Forestry" Russian Academy of Sciences; of the Georgian National committee UNESCO programme "Man and Biosphere", member of the Botanical Gardens associations and Botanical society of Eurasia and Transcaucasia; member of the specialized council of Tbilisi Institute of Mountain Forestry and Georgian Ecological Academy of Sciences.
