  • Information concerning the defense of scientific degree: Mr. Jordania defended the thesis for a master's degree at Moscow State Metallurgical Machine-Building Institute in 1969, and the thesis for the doctor of science degree at the Georgian Technical University in 1984.
  • The main fields of scientific activity: Tube rolling technology, metal continuous casting processes and theory.
  • Pedagogical activity: for a long period he had been delivering lectures to the metallurgical faculty of Georgian Technical University where he occupied the position of professor at the metals pressure treatment department.
  • Scientific and organizational activities: in 1964-1976 years, he was at the head of Central Laboratory of Rustavi Integrated Iron-and-Steel Works, in 1976-1979 years, he was the Chief of Science and Technique Department of Georgian State Plan Committee, in 1979-1984 years, he was the Deputy Chairman of Georgian State Plan Committee, in 1984-1989 years, he was the Chairman of Georgian Science and Technique Committee, in 1990-1993 years he occupied the position of Science and New Technologies Minister, since 1993 up to now he has been at the head of Metallurgical Institute Metal Continuous Casting Laboratory of Georgian Science Academy, in 1997 he has been elected the Chairman of Industrial Power and Natural Resources Committee at the Presidium of Georgian Science Academy. Since 1997 up to now he is the President of the Mining-Metallurgical State Holding Company of Georgia.
  • Honourable titles, State rewards: he was given the title of Georgia Republic Honourable Engineer, he received a Lenin premium in the field of Science and Technique, in 1997 he was rewarded by International Engineering Academy with worthy golden medal.
  • The membership in other Scientific Academies and Organizations: he is a true member of Georgian, Russian and International Engineering Academy.
