Robert Adamia

Robert Adamia was born on April 6, 1933 in Tbilisi. In 1951 he graduated from secondary school with gold medal. In 1956 graduated from metallutgical faculty of Georgian Politechnical Institute with distinquished diploma and was granted with degree of Ingineer-metallurgist speciality "pessure shaping of mettals".
In 1956-58 worked in Kommunarsk and later in Rustavy metallurgical plant. In 1958-61 was post-graduate student of Georgian Scientific Academy's metallurgical Institute and prepered his candidate thesis in Moscow's Mechanical Enginearing Institute, where he defended in 1963 his thesis conserning problem of perfection dynamic caracteristics of tube rolling miles.
In 1964-71 worked in Georgian scientific academy's metallurgical Institute as senior scientific worker.
In 1970 R. Adamia was granted with Doctor's degree.
In 1971-83 he worked as the head of department of "pressure shaping of metalls" which was founded by him in Georgian Politechnical Institute".
In 1983 he was assigned on the post of Head of Kutaisi's combined scientific centre of Georgian Academy of Sciences on the base of this centre in 1990 was faunded independent Institute in Kutaisi. Simultaneously was appointed in the capacity of director.
In 1992 R. Adamia was elected as a member of Georgian Engineering Academy and in 1993 as a member of Georgian Academy of Science.
In 1994 R. Adamia was granted with the prize of G. Nicoladze of disee's aerodynamic processes".
Prof. Adamia is author of more than 150 works. Among them 6 monography and 16 inventions. numberof works are published in USA, Germany, Spane, Romania ets. Ander Adamia's guidance and consultation 8 doctor's and 17 candidate's thesisis have been prepared and defended.
Scientific activity of R. Adamia is many-sided (versatile). His scientific innterests spreads to metallurgical equipment, machine-tools, automobiles, internal combustion engines, robor-manipulators and wide range of actual problems of analysis and sinthesis dynamic loads of other mechanical systems with many degree of freedom.
R. Adamia is acknowledged by lot of leading scientists all over the world as founder of new scientific direction in metallurgical equipment's dynamic processe's optimization sinthesid and therefore computing of rational constructiv parameters of these equipments.
