Main scientific trends:

a) Physics of condensed matter: Investigation of quantum liquid properties, investigation of high-temperature superconductor properties, investigation of spin dynamic properties of ordered systems, investigation of defect interaction in irradiated ion crystals;

b) High-energy Physics: Investigation of dynamics of elemental particle interaction at small and supersmall distances, investigation of cumulative multi-particle processes in hadron-nuclear interactions, investigation of interaction between cosmic rays and air cores, investigation of hadron-hadron and deeply non- elastic lepton interactions;

c) Plasma physics: Investigation of electromagnetic wave interactions in plasma, study of plasma heating by super-high and high frequency waves at Tokamak;

d) Biophysics: Investigation of physical principles of macromolecular systems, study of the effect of physical-chemical factors on chromatin structure and its components;

e) Applied physics: Determination of radionucide composition in biosphere. Study of toxic and cancerogenic element distribution in gases, soil and underground waters, determination of element content by nuclear and optical methods.
