Chemistry of the physiologically active natural compounds and drug development. In particular:
Pharmacobotanical studies of Georgian flora and problems
of medicinal plant cultivation;
Isolution, purification and physico-chemical
investigation of natural compounds of different chemical
classes and evolution of their biological activities;
Scientific principles of technological processes and of standardization applied for bioactive materials and
pharmaceutical formulations;
Mechanisms of action of pharmalogically effective natural
compounds, toxicology and preclinical examinations.
