In 1997 defended thesis for a doctor’s degree. Subject: Introduction of Large-fruited American Cranberry (Oxycoccus macrocarpus) and Possibilities of its Cultivation in Colchic Lowland.

Honorary title: Order of Honor (2001).

Member of Ecological and Phazis Academies, member of BGCI.
