Brief Description of Current Activities:

 ·        Professor of Tbilisi State University; Since 1966  delivers lectures at Tbilisi State University in Quaternary Geology,  Engineering-geology, Issues of natural elemental processes and Geoecology;

·        Associated member of Georgian Academies of Ecology and Engineering Sciences;          

·        Member of International Association of Engineer-Geologists,

·        Member of Quaternary Period Research Commission of Academy of Sciences;

·        Member of Scientific- Technical Council of the Ministries of Environment and Urban Planning and Construction;

·        Expert in the Field of Engineering- Geological Sciences and Geoecology;

·        Associated member of Engineering –Geodynamic Scientific Council of the Academy of Sciences of Russian Federation.

 Emil Tsereteli during the last  40 years conducts different scale and trend engineering- geological, geodynamical, geomorphological and geoecological  researches in South Russia, Pamirs-Tianshan Mountain Systems, Tajikistan, Kirghizia,  Uzbekistan, Caucasus, Turkey.

 

 

Main works executed under Supervision and  direct Participation by Dr. Tsereteli: 

      1:500 000 scale maps of landslides and mudflows  developments  and  on zoning  of

       risk danger on the territory of Georgia;

 

Carried out detailed engineering –geological researches:

 

Main scientific results of Dr. Emil Tsereteli are analyzed in more than 200 scientific monographs and articles. Most of them are issued in different countries around the world: Russia, NIS, India, Portugal, Turkey, Italy, Sweden, Greece, China, Canada, Great Britain, along them under UNEP and UNESCO were issued research experience of landslides and mudflows in Georgia.
